Sree's passing away is a big loss for all of but the life he lived was a big gain for all of us to learn from. Jacob clinged to the angel for one night but Sree clinged to God each day even in his last days he lived by faith. Shoba's love and care for sree was indeed a great symbol of true love and i am sure God would use her to stand with many who go through the valley of shadow of death. Sree's strong leadership will be missed, he was indeed a true man of God.

I will always remember him as a strong pillar, a good leader, good mentor, with shepherd's heart who always lead people and constantly focused on God. Also a man who livedup to the standards of God. Good role model of a father & a husband.

Dear Shobha, Jonathan and Jacob: Just wanted to let you know that we are thinking so much about all of you. In the morning of the 23rd around 10 a.m. (about 10 p.m. there in India), Viji was having his quiet time, praying and reading the Bible, and he clearly felt through Psalm 88:8 that God was taking Sree home. He actually called Rita at work and told her this was what he felt and noted this in his diary. We got a call from Issac in the evening around 6 pm here informing us that Sree had passed away. We have complete assurance that this was the time for Sree to go home to the Father. We feel some of your pain and will continue to uphold you all in prayer. We love you and pray you will be held in His arms and comforted by Him in the days ahead

Although I have never had the privilege of meeting Sree, I have been closely following updates on his health, through the GMI website. Having just seen my mother through a long illness, I do know the physical and emotional toll it takes. I used to be particularly encouraged on reading the short updates Sree and Shoba would write on the GMI website. Each of them served to strengthen my faith in the Lord all the more. Praying for God's Hand of peace and comfort to rest with the family during these days.

My dear Shobha, Jonathan and Jacob. I heard today only that Sree had entered his eternal inheritance! We rejoice with you that his struggle is over. This is what Jesus died for, and why Sree trusted Jesus with his life!We rejoice with him, and with every memory of him. From the earliest days of my own visits to Mumbai, he is one I have respected immensely. He's now enjoying the presence of God like never before. We will be praying, along with many of your friends, that God will comfort, strengthen and show you his grace and presence, and his promise for the future at this time."He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. Dear Shobha, Jonathan and Jacob. Our hearts go out to you all in your sadness. I remember standing with you and dear Sree as we prayed for the Lord to intervene and heal him. I was deeply touched with the tranquility that radiated from his eyes. Often when praying for people who are seriously ill I find a certain pressure coming on me to produce a positive result. This was not so with Sree. He was at peace in his heart for whatever would be the outcome. It was like he was saying to his Heavenly Father: "If it be possible let this cup pass from me but nevertheless, not my will, but thine be done. Sree was a prince of a man. And he will be greatly missed. Our love and prayers are with you. In His great love. Barney and Janette

was in ATC when I first made friendship with Sree. He told me to "Burn the Bridges". I did exactly what he told me to do. I went ahead and joined BBC. And never looked back, will not look back by God's grace.:::: ::::Then in BBC, in one of the Deacon Board meetings I met Sree. By then he had lost weight due to his sickness. But I noticed that he had not lost his fervour for God at all. We had a long chat sitting on the bench outside Wilson's office. He blessed my soul that day. "I want to be like Sree who generously gives out God's inspiration wherever and whenever possible." :::: ::::Shobha, Jonathan and Jacob, we will continue to pray for you. We do love you. You guys have been extremely strong and an example for all of us.::Khaning, Achui and Peipei

My heartfelt condolences to you as a family at your sad time of loss. Sree always set a wonderful example to us all, and that did not diminish, but rather increased, during these months of battle. Of him we can indeed be sure that the Lord has said, "Well done, good and faithful servant." Your family was one of the first that I really got to know in my visits to in my visits to Mumbai; I will never forget the welcomes into your home nor the great fun and laughter that characterised it. I am for ever grateful to you all. God bless you.

Well, i have heard Sree only once in a camp. He shared his story of how he gave his new car to Shobha to drive when he really didn't want to but when the Holy Sprit told him to do it he obeyed and gave it for her to drive. He taught us that day, the car is just a metal sheet but the joy of seeing your wife drive a car is much more important than the car that you own, this was a great thought which impressed my life. I have never forgotten this till today and i will never forget this lesson he taught. We rememeber the family at this time. Yes, Sree is not with us but we rejoyce that Sree is with the Lord. Infact when my Dad suffered from his sickness i used to tell my Dad about Sree and the healing he received and encouraged him. May the Peace of God rest with the family and the leadership of GMI. We will miss Sree.

I remember the day when I met Kuttan uncle (as Sree was known to me!) in Palghat. Even though it has been a really really long time and then the times when the whole family (Shoba mamma and Jacob and Jonathan and all) used to visit us in our little farm when they were on their annual vacation trip to Kerala. The words kind of desert me at this moment of time but thoughts of prayers will remain in my heart. Kuttan uncle will always be an inspiration when I need that little bit of push. May the Holy Spirit comfort you all at a time like this and give you peace knowing that Shree is with the Lord. Our sincere prayers for Shobha, Jonathan and Jacob that God's ever abiding presence, provision and protection are with you all.::::Our tribute to Shree Kumar for building our very foundation in Christ when we were born again in the late 1980’s and looking for a born again church. He was our first pastor and we as a family attended his church for more than a decade. We were really blessed by his shepherding, sermons, wisdom, understanding and passion for Christ. He was more than a friend, more like part of our family. I know that many people/families were saved and brought into the Kingdom because of his bold commitment to serve the Lord without fear. There were also wonderful memories to fall back on when we went together with Shree, Shobha and family for many family retreats, conferences where we were truly blessed.::::We will do our part this side of the world in Toronto, Canada and continue to carry the baton which Shree has passed on and run the good race for Christ to spread the Gospel for winning souls into the Kingdom.::

I belive Our dear sree kumar finised his mission upon earth which jesus called him for.2 years before while his operation was going on i was praying at home and claiming a word from god H.sprit said read John 17 i said it is the prayer of jesus.three times i was prompted and finally i opened j 17 and starts reading, when i came to words 4 it re3ades father i have completed the work on earth and glorified thy name. i started shivering and asked lord is sree kumars mission completed on earth. This incident i spoke to very few inly but always prayed for a miracle and extention of his life. It was the prayer his family and his friends god extented his life upto now. When ever i met him to ptay it was so powerful both of us used to be revived.in his prayer last he blessed me with before going to meeraj that you will experience all types of healings and exactly it happened there in the meetings. He worked till last and he was a great model and blessing to me We will see him in heaven To shobha,Jonathan,Jacob god will fill evey gap due to srees departure to heavenly home

Dear Shoba, Jonathan and Jacob, though we can hardly claim to say that we understand what you are going through, but what a blessed hope we have that our Lord knows it all for He has gone through it all. Yes dear ones there is someone who knows and understands it all. Sree and the whole family have been very close to us, we remember every encounter we have had with you all right from the very beginning as Vicky shared with Shoba...Our son Nathan was named after Rhoda was convicted by a message Sree had brought at the Pune Faith Community Church titled 'Is there a Nathan in your life ?' Rhoda still has fresh memories of that message. We were blessed to meet Sree just a week before he went to be with the Lord, there was so much peace he was reflecting even through what he was going through and we were so encouraged, to meet the family and the way they faced the circumstances they were in... I can say that what I saw is that 'The joy of the Lord was their strength' in true sense, it is very easy to be joyful in the Lord in every good situation, but to derive strength from the joy of the Lord and to pass it around to those who come to meet you and comfort and encourage you was amazing. This was also the first experience for our children to witness a funeral...though they are teenagers and we were so impressed that they came back with a beautiful assurance of what it means to go to be with the Lord in a true sense. Praise God, Sree brought glory to the Lord while he lived and also on his death. ::God be with you Shoba, Jonathan and Jacob, we love you a lot and you are in our prayers.::Vicky, rhoda, Sukruti and Nathan::Muscat, Oman

Pr.Sreekumar has indeed been a tall man for his convictions about the faith he had adopted years back.Iam thankful to God for allowing us to meet him, Shobha and family in our short visit to India.Though we were shocked to see Sree in such a bad shape physically, would like to testify here that there was such a Heavenly peace in that home.Indeed Sree has left a rich legacy behind.Words are not enough to speak of Sree. one of the fav quotes I remember is WALK THE TALK. Sree was indeed a testimony to that which I quoted in my message in my church here in US today.when one part of india some christian leaders were being raided by police for financial irregularities , I count it my privilege to know this great man of God.Indeed for Sree it could be said TO LIVE IS CHRIST AND TO DIE IS GAIN. Dear Shobha and kids, though Sree's loss will always be felt know for sure His testimony will continue to inspire many.
