Gateway Ministries International has grown from an original Bombay Baptist Church, Mumbai, India, a church which began to grow significantly in the early 1980's and which has now developed into more than 80+ satellite units across the globe, ministering in 9 language groups.

The church has a well established equipping track and periodically publishes Bible study resource material which is translated into several languages. The leadership team also oversees several other churches in the nation, namely in Delhi, Miraj, Kolhapur, Bangalore, Kollam, Bhubaneshwar, Chennai, Secunderabad, Chandigarh, Conoor, Coimbatore, Patna, Vizag, etc and six churches outside the country namely in Dubai & Sharjah in United Arab Emirates, Lagos in Nigeria, two in Sri Lanka and Yangon in Myanmar.

The church has a strong commitment to serve slum-dwellers, lepers, street children, orphans, prostitutes, children of prostitutes, blind, eunuchs, prisoners, young offenders, and illiterates. It also runs its own Bible schools in English and Hindi.
